The funniest thing about this is, in promotional interviews, when asked about its uses, the creator of this product couldn't come up with a single use case other than "many uses"

Sony and Canon not releasing new cameras is concerning.

For Sony - the PXW Z90, 190, 280 all are in desperate need of replacement. They need a direct competitor to the XF605, which I’m now probably going to get I guess, even though I have Sony FX cameras that I’d rather be able to match to with a Sony camcorder.

For Canon, they don’t have a direct competitor to the FX6. The C200 is so old now. They also could do with a reboot of the XF205, because holy cows do not want to purchase any of the G or XA series cameras.

I don’t think we really need an FX3 or FX6 mark II just yet, but they have seemingly abandoned the camcorders, which is weird considering how many of them they sell to the ENG world.

The more "K" that Blackmagic adds to the cameras, the more I avoid them. It's like they're target market is the easily gullible.
