'Cost Jobs, Stifle Growth' Former Tory Picks Apart Rachel Reeves' Budget

This budget could lead to less new jobs, more redundancies and higher unemployment figures. The fact that they are expecting people to work until pushing 70 will vastly reduce the new job opportunities for the young generations, especially after today's budget..

If you want growth, you cut taxes. Squeeze welfare budgets to a minimum. Lower interest rates to stimulate spending. Tax and spend killed the economy in the 70s. They never learn.

Time to shift the balance from the employer to the worker. It does not go far enough in my opinion as I support taxing wealth over work. It is however a small step in the right direction.

Abolish private schools as they give unfair advantage in the job market and mean that social classes mix less which decreases social cohesion. All pupils deserve a great education not just those whose parents can afford to place them in private schools. All pupils should be able to make connections across social classes to strengthen our society.
