Combinatorics is often a poorly taught topic, because there are a lot of different types of problems. It looks like it is difficult to pin down whether addition or multiplication principle should be used, or whether the inclusion-exclusion principle should be used. This video hopes to be very clear about the fundamental nature of these principles and help you clear up some concepts.
