Look at that horrified expression on Wiggum's face. He must have read the case report that these peppers were 100% not fit for living consumption. The fact Homer ate multiple and only went on a bad trip shows he really does have the iron stomach.

Ned is such a good neighbour. Even after Homer insults his chili and embarrasses him in front of his sons, he's still willing to help him out

0:05 - I love how despite years of Burnsie not remembering who Homer is or that he works for him, he instantly recognizes him as some kind of legendary chili-eating guy.

They say he carved it himself...from a bigger spoon

Otto knows Homer's on his first trip and is handling it perfectly. 😂

Ralph: Hey, mister, do you need some help?
Otto: Let him go, Ralph. He knows what he's doing.

In the latin version, Dr. Hibbert says that Homer must be burning from the inside and Krusty says "his exit will burn"

I just realized the joke of the Police Chief saying "it's not my job talking people out of killing themselves" 😆 never caught that as a kid

It's so funny that they didn't even notice that Homer didn't chew the peppers.

Funny to think that Wiggum's own son would be his downfall against Homer.

Homer promised Marge that he’d stay sober, not sane.

I remember developing a taste for spicy food, after watching this episode as a kid.

So, who was Wiggum expecting to eat that chili of his if even Homer could not eat it?

There's something so brilliant about classic simpsons - the pacing is perfect, the gags are outstanding and none of it is forced. "It ain't my job to talk people out of killing themselves" in particular always sends me

In the last part, Ralph and Otto surprisingly shows intelligence par to us. Like showing empathy and smartness.

2:41 Ralph genuinely had good advice. Too bad Homer didn’t listen.
