As always Torque who started this channel is working for Astro Tools who make the 1894 impact included in this episode, always consider multiple sources when looking at tool!

Once again HF has lowered the regular price of the tool since introduction in the last week, like they did on the Hercules high torques. So this impact is $130, happy days! Maybe it's only us who pay the early adopter tax =D Rankings have been updated for those who have them (399.1 points, 23rd)

Great video as always guys, but one Detail:
Don't be too harsh on Hazet, they are basically the German equivalent to Tool Truck Tools.
Yeah they sell directly to consumers, but they have to, considering how much smaller Germany is compared to the US/CA.
They also produce 90% in Germany, some at a loss and make that up with their bought in Tools which still have the great Hazet guarantee.
And they don't really focus on the US, i am from Germany and their 9012TT sells for 175 here including tax.
So yeah, would recommend the 9012 If you live in Germany, as their is little competition except for maybe KS around here, but If you live in the US Go for the harbor freight one.

love y'alls mission to hold tool makers accountable for their advertising, even though I don't hardly use power tools haha. just bought the spreadsheets, keep doing your thing!

It never ceases to amaze me how much of a markup "German" brings in cars and tools.

Crazy to see how far this channel has came. I remember the post on the Garage Journal mentioning the new channel and now you're at more than a 1/4 mil subs. Keep up the good work!

These would be sweet for off-road rigs with onboard air compressors like the ones from ARB. Speaking of, testing portable air compressors would be a neat video series.

My 1/2” impact at work was one that was “broken” I fixed. Lubed it up, & it’s now fully functional, & working great!

I'm glad I checked around about this impact. HF is running a sale and it's knocked down to $100. I have been happy with their stubby 1/2 gun at work, but I need something stronger than that, yet I don't need Thor's kind of power. It's for home use, and looks to be the perfect balance of size and power, and it's really cheap (considering I've been roped into plenty of tool truck tools over the years).

Great video as always. Hf is definitely a good buy on some tools. Your videos have definitely helped me make tool chooses.

I just picked up one of these for $130 at my local harbor freight. Thank you for the valuable information!

Recently started working as mechanic for the first time, and this was the first impact I picked up. Went with this over the big brother not just to save the extra money, but because the way our shop does routines, we often do tire swaps/rotations with it on the lift, that way we have an easier time measuring tread depth. Because of that, the smaller impact is genuinely easier to manage, as holding a smaller gun over shoulder height to zip the wheels off is easier to manage. A smaller or more compact air impact would probably also work, but for just an all around air tool, this thing is pretty handy.

...It also helps that it only comes in green, which is the one color no other techs in the shop use, so if it goes missing it's easy to see who stole my stuff =3

Price difference is interesting on some of the same tools these days under other brands. Lowes sells a Kobalt 400-ft lb Air Impact Wrench for $49.98 they have sold this for years. At the same store they sell a CRAFTSMAN 0.5-in 400-ft lb Air Impact Wrench for 81.98. They look identical except for name and colors and the $32 markup for the name. I bought the Kobalt one for $40 just a few years ago.

That’s interesting about the Hazet tool, because they‘re usually pretty well regarded here in Germany! Dang! Good find.

Hey it's not all about length! You gotta bring the beans! That's what I've been told anyway!

Great video again, some real shady stuff going on with companies selling the same tool for twice the price.

Notes section on the Hercules says recuded instead of reduced. lol Good info appreciate the time you take to do all of the comparisons! Makes it easy for us to pick good value and good performance.

Hazet also made impacts (battery) for a store brand in Canada (Canadian Tire). At least one high torque was Hazet rebranded.
