Not sure what you are talking about. The Windows software has exactly the same toolbars and does have the edit option where you can trim your recordings.

To record your own voice, you need to connect a mic to your computer. Game Capture HD version 1.2 (just released) allows you to then record commentary directly in the software.

The functions of the Elgato Game Capture HD software are the same for Mac OS 10.7 and Windows 7.

Have you updated to version 1.2 of the software? There are several improvements regarding Sony Vegas. You may have to convert the recordings to MP4 in the Game Capture HD software again.

For now you'd have to record the video with Game Capture HD, then export it to editing software such as iMovie on the Mac or Premiere on a PC that supports adding another sound track. We'll add that feature in a future software release, for sure.

Yes you can. Just cut the parts you don't need, and leave the rest.

Yes, you can now record in up to 1080p, 30Mbit/s.

In the editor, at the half-way mark, so about 15 minutes in, use the cutting tool. Then select the first or second half, right click, and click "New video from timeline selection". Then delete from the main video the same half which you just made into a new video. Does this help?

It is saved automatically. Or, you can save your edited footage as a new clip.

Of course it will. The HDMI input required are on the next gen consoles. The only thing that might prove an issue would be the potential need for a software update, but I have seen people record the Wii-U with the Elgato, so I don't think there is any difference.
