Won't the bark eventually fall off? When I make anything live edge I always chisel it as even stained and lacquered it breaks apart.

This just looks ridiculous. This is the result of the death of old world craftsmanship. Imagine 100 years ago if you had anything like this in your house you would be dirt poor using unfinished wood? It's the death of skilled woodworking. It's the easy way out to use a love edge is the exact opposite of skill and precision woodwork, all for little short lived shock value. It's sad really
