I had no idea that drawer stoppers existed so thanks for the info and link. I think furniture built before metal drawer slides came out didn't have stoppers. An issue I have to fix are some center bottom drawer slides on a dresser. The part attached to the dresser is plastic and has broken off. I have matching nightstands in the same style that were purchased from different thrift stores but they have wood slides and are fine. Rockler had something similar at one time and I need to see if it would work. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

I am totally going to try that tape!! I have an older craftsman home and it has a built in linen cabinet with 3 HUGE and heavy drawers underneath. Its wood on wood and my sheets are constantly getting "sawdust" on them from them rubbing. I think the tape will help bc soap doesn't for me much. Thank you!!

I have two dresser drawers that are broken off the track & warped. They can't be placed back together so, maybe I can do what you did. They won't close all the way & it's annoying. I'm also going to empty all of the contents but they might just need to be replaced.
