As someone who used to work at a furniture store, the amount of effort this man puts into repairing cheap furniture is commendable! Well done sir 🤙🏼

The hardest part of fixing furniture like this is matching the colors

Putting glue in there to harden the core, that's brilliant. Thanks for that.

You cut out the part of the video where you added a second coat of filler to fix the corner you cut off. Haha

Don’t forget to tell everyone that when you razor it you have to do it at the right time before it’s hard. And don’t forget to tell everyone about the second application you made cuz the point got razored off so you did a jump cut. And this only applies to painted surfaces, not stained

Really appreciate this post! A rescue pup has gobbled corners off of many things. Dressers, baseboards, flooring, etc. I have what I thought I would need to repair but after watching this, I need to go back to the store. Thanks for the knowledge

I have a tip to get real square edges when sanding when I built furniture!
Because If you sand by hand OR with a sanding block, straight edges will get rounded.

-Find a 90degree angle, i used a plastic saw guide from Home Depot.
-Cut a pice of sandpaper and fixate it with sticky tape on one of the inner faces.
-You can now use the 90degree angle tucked against the tabletop to sand the edge with perfect outcome!

Tip: if you use that much wood filler to where u have to scrape with razor, do not let it completely dry.

Nice edit when you knocked the corner off again first time and had to do it over😊

Yeah show when you mess up, you filled twice. Don’t be skipping that, it is part of the process. End result is good 👍

Fantastic advice. I followed to the letter, saved my table, that is until I sprayed one corner of my black laminate table, white.

This man knows his shit, using all Mohawk supplies. Furniture repair specialist approved.

Fill stick or white crayon? How does paint stick to crayon? It's wax.

Wow, this is literally what I do for work and it’s cool to see even the same product I use😂 I haven’t ran into someone else doing these cosmetic repairs.

That looks like two-part bondo filler. There's a "plastic" stage where you can easily shave it down. If you wait till it fully hardens you'll have your work cut out for you.

Do you use fatty crayon? Doesn't that make the paint not stick?

I use those fill sticks to touch up cabinetry, but never thought to use it on a surface prior to finishing. Wouldn’t paint or stain not adhere to the wax?

He used two part bondo, not wood filler.

You missed the part where you breakdown the particleboard 'furniture' and throw it in the trash.
