Back to Medieval 2 for me. Rome 2 is joyless.

I just bought this today, for mac, and it is unplayable.

Not because of lag either, there is no lag. 

However the bugs are INSANE. Terrain/ground disappearing, screen spazzing out because the meshes just randomly warp, crashes, and it sounds like there's a helicopter sound coming from the music.

Fucking ridiculous. I hope this is just a mac thing, and that they'll fix it. I loved Rome 1, but if this doesn't get any better, I'm gonna get really pissed off.

I remember Shogun 2 getting a patch about 6 to 8 months after release that completely changed the performance. In addition they added more castle variety and new graphical features. What was great is that the game went from being difficult to run on medium settings to being simple to run on high settings with the new AA and smoke effects. I imagine the same will happen with Rome 2, that they will keep releasing performance increasing patches for a year or 2 after launch.

Haha, its funny how people go back playing empire and shogun again, because when those came out, they were absolutly furious about "how bad total war had become". And now upon a sudden that were the good 'ol days.
In mine case: I can play the game perfectly on a medium desktop, and I think is really awesome.
