Fide Köksal is a Turkish singer living in Greece.
Fide was born in Izmir, Turkey. She graduated from Marmara University - Istanbul from the department of Political Science and International Relations. In addition, she studied singing at the Müjdat Gezen Academy of Music and Arts in the class of Meltem Taşkıran. She continued her studies in Musical Theater at Istanbul University Conservatory.
Career
She started her solo career in Turkey and Greece in 2006 collaborating with acclaimed composers like Mimis Plessas and Nikos Kypourgos, and singers including George Dalaras, Maria Farantouri, George Perris, Pantelis Thalassinos, Savina Yannatou, Haig Yazdjian and others.
She has also acted in the 2008 TV series "Matomena Homata" and performed two songs of Vassilis Dimitriou with her own lyrics. In 2012, she appeared and sang in the documentary film "Hello Anatolia" by Chrysovalantis Stamelos. Her acting and performances have garnered her critical acclaim, being honored several times for her contributions to Greek-Turkish friendship.
In 2010, she was featured in the album "Bridges", in which she wrote Turkish lyrics and performed ten songs of Mimis Plessas. Her debut solo album, titled "Büyü", was released by EMI Music in Greece and Turkey in March 2013. All lyrics are written by Fide, with music composed by Mimis Plessas, Yiotis Kiourtsoglou, Nikos Kypourgos, Armenak Markosyan, Nassos Sopilis, as well as Fide herself.
