Improve Safety And Efficiency When Loading And Unloading Trucks

Loading and unloading a truck is still often done from two sides. Here the 𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗼𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗱 since a heavy vehicle (the forklift) is being used to transport a load. Should the forklift have to make an emergency stop because a person suddenly emerges in front of it, this can lead to falling products and severe injury to the person in front of the forklift. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀 of the truck so that no pedestrians and/or other vehicles can be in the immediate vicinity of the truck.

Big advantage is that the forklift is always working on one side of the truck and, therefore always working in sight. Also, the truck will be unloaded and or loaded faster because the forklift makes fewer yards traveled. Time savings can be as high as ± 30% and as high as 50% if two pallets are handled at the same time.
