There’s a reason they call it the angel of death

the AC-130 Spectre.
for when you absolutely positively have to rip an entire army a new one, accept no substitute.

Last I checked, you need 11 kills for that kill streak.

Imagine getting saved by Homelander in a life or death sitution.

Edit: But when the place is Afghanistan it makes sense.

My Dad was a 130 pilot and squadron commander. Loved these planes growing up!

There's a reason this scene just hits. Silence is the greatest influencer and or convey to which silence comes in many forms. One of greatest concepts I've learned was "the audience won't cry if you do, you're doing their job for them but if you're on the verge with a few tears along with silence, it engages the audience to produce what your failing to do with convey a powerful response". Jake and Dar's characters needed to be in silence when they thought they're lives were now void to convey a sense of end of life... Then hold that scene in silence showing the characters look around, see there's no hope and finally giving up. Keep holding that scene and silence but now up the stakes, she the enemy draw inwards towards our hero's. Shot the other guy to convey "Yup, it's over for them". Then show a powerful force rip through the silence bring that hope right back followed by Angel of death unleashing rounds killing the enemy. Followed lastly by The hero's realizing everything is gonna be alright was powerful. But then have them fly away looking back on how they almost died made this scene great

this fired me up, I was a screaming that’s an AC-130 Gunship to my wife. So sick, still can’t get over it, haven’t seen an end of movie air strike rescue this great since Tears of the Sun.

The Gods are real, and they are the pilots, co-pilots, and crewmen of AC-130 Spectre Gunships.

If an AC-130 is anything like this in real life and as accurate as this, that's terrifying

When the Spooky gunship came in the nick of time, I played John Williams’ Sail Barge Assault from Return of the Jedi at 1: 25 on the song onwards.

I believe they normally operate at night to avoid any ground to air threat. This is an awesome platform with exceptional power but I think the risk to it operating in daylight would be high.

They used the IDF's Apache model. With the classic camouflage and the external fuel tanks.

Why bother with the gunship and attack helicopters when Homelander could have just lazered them all?

A man whose attainable resources include a specter gunship tells you to look him up if you need help.

Pretty badass line.

As good as this film and scene was it makes me sick of all the “Ahmeds” that we left behind, there’s no honour in what we did!

That gun ship gives me goosebumps every time! And the gunners greyscale reminds me of the lemmings game from way back
