I gotta recover a hard drive from an older MacBook Pro. Was thinking about pulling the drive from the broken machine and sliding it into one of these and then attaching it to my new MacBook Air. Would the drive in theory already be "formatted" and my new MacBook Air will read the data ? Or do I need to go a different route all together to get my old hard drive data.

Ugreen is junk. Mine had a bad cable, and when I read the reviews lots of other people had the same problem. Symptom: connect, disconnect, connect, disconnect, etc

What's the point to have an aluminium part, IF.... the ssd can't touch it !
Everybody's own bad taste, I know the Mac users love shiny objects but frankly .... A waste of time here !!
