Pocketcat is one of the most disturbing characters in the Fear & Hunger series and he appears both in the first game and the sequel, Fear and Hunger 2: Termina. The feline salesman greets the player nicely before going on many tangents about the world. We find later in the game that Daan actually moonscorches into the next Pocketcat and takes up his mantle. The first meeting occurs in the city and if you have Nas'hrah in your party as the Beheaded Wizard accessory, he will comment on how he knows the Pocketcat and how he is a servant of Rher.

I might be thinking too much but I think Pocketcat is more of a living idea than a title. Some people think he possess Daan because Rher needs a new host but Daan still becomes Pocketcat when the previous one is still alive.

So it's more likely that Pocketcat is like an infectious idea rather than a creature. He’s a fairytale and fairytales reside in people's minds differently than the old gods. When old gods are gone their absence is felt in the funger universe. But fairytales? They don't feel absent cause they exist in the minds of people.

So despite being a servant of Rher, Pocketcat doesn't need Rher's existence and continues to live even after he's long gone. And he continues to spread his influence since anyone can become a pocketcat if they are psychologically vulnerable and exposed to the idea of it just like Daan.
