Where did all the water for the Great Flood come from, and is it scientifically possible? Was Noah’s Ark a simple wooden vessel, or something far more complex and of another dimension? What did the post-Flood generations really find in Shinar, and was their Tower of Babel some kind of space ship?

Find out in this class where we also discuss the secrets of the Holy Tongue, the “Watchers” and Nephilim, ancient technology, and why it is that most cultures from around the world have similar myths and ancient legends.

Ive been thinking about the Tower of Babel in recent years. It hit me one day that in the modern age, we build giant towers to reach the heavens and have technology that allows all of us to communicate as if it were one language. It instantly reminded me of Ecclesiastes 1:9.

Insight on the discoveries of technology by the Tower of Babel developers explained at 51:00 is fascinating.

Around 55:50 mark.
Angels: "Look, Lord! These humans are trash. Why did you make them?"
God: "Yeah, like you would be any better with free will. Remember what happened last time when your brothers went down there?"
Angels:
God: "Yeah"

The same people mocking Hashem during Noah's Day are mocking Him "once again" in the Day we are living in now.

Scientists have just "discovered" an ocean than is BIGGER than ALL our oceans above ground put together in the "center of the earth." So, yes, it's possible.

Gopher wood, is merely a (type) of wood construction process . The trees in Noah's area were probably Cedar or cypress?

What a fascinating teaching and it answers soooo many questions I had about both the flood and Babel. It offers but a small glimpse of just how mighty our God is.
Thanks so much

Commenting in October 2024:

Yes! You've threaded together the process!

Two books on the topics mentions here:

1) Origin of Speeches, by Isaac Mozeson. It's a non-fiction book about how Hebrew is the original language of the world.

2) Dor L'Dor, by Ephraim Waxman (Feldheim Pub.). This is an interactive, 3D timeline book starting at Hebrew year 0/Creation.

The first thing I remember checking is the cross-over between Noah and Avraham, to see if they were ever both alive ... and they were! Avraham was an adult during the dispersion, so Ivrit would have been his native language, and, obviously, he was allowed to keep knowledge of it.

Efraim, your classes are such a blessing for those of us eagerly anticipating the revelation of Mashiach!

I've also read some of HaRav Ginsburgh's books and study with his disciples, particularly Rabbi Nir Menussi, whose shiurim are available on YT.

Chag Sukkot Sameach!

Yasher koach!

I like your perspective on the inside of Noah’s Ark. The space is bigger inside than it is outside. It’s amazing concept to fathom
