For part 3 of the micro:bit coding video series, I have split it in half as it was getting quite long. This first part goes through basic LED lighting and includes adding external buttons to activate lights.

These videos are meant as a resource for teachers and students looking for some help with coding for invention and creation.

A little tip that might help: when connecting the alligator clips to the LED, the shorter leg of the LED should be connected to the ground pin. The longer leg of the LED should be connected to pin 0.

I would like a list as well so I can make kits. A list that has components for each of the videos if you have it. Thanks!

I am looking to make a goal light for a table hockey game I bought. It has microswitches in the net. How would I design this so that when the puck stricks the microswich it turns the red LED light on for apx 3-5 seconds then turns off again.

Why did you not use a limiting resistor in series with the led, does the Microbit take care of that ?
