Once I first watched this I thought most of these shows were fake

For those too young to understand the context: Family Guy had been cancelled for three years in the early 2000's. This was the first scene in the first episode of their comeback, and all the shows Peter listed were the ones that were created and cancelled on Fox during the brief span Family Guy was off the air.

Fox did not even give half of those shows a chance. To this day I am still pissed they cancelled Drive (2007) in less than two weeks.

Dark Angel was legitimately successful with it's third season canceled because FOX didn't want to finance two sci-fi shows, and its background plot of the US falling into turmoil following a huge terrorist strike really didn't sit well after 9/11.😬
