Holiday Inn - 'Mark' campaign

One of my all-time favorite ad campaigns. For Holiday Inn by Fallon from 1999-2001 featuring your favorite 37-year-old slacker — Mark L. Harvey (brilliantly portrayed by Ross Brockley) — who lives with his family and argues that kids should stay free when his parents ask him to pay rent.

Also featuring Janet Carroll as Mom and Romany Malco as the Holiday Inn front desk clerk (6:12)

I'm not sure if I got the sequence right but it seems to flow in chronological order. Whatever happened to great campaigns like this? IMO, the entire campaign should've gotten multiple Clios (especially Grandma!). Enjoy!

This series of commercials is better than most programming on regular TV.

Absolutely brilliant campaign. Simple and funny, while subtly driving home the brand.

"Room to Work" has always been my favorite. The attention to detail is spectacular. Check out Mark's computer screen at 2:42. He's playing solitaire! A group of my friends at work would dissect every frame of these ads. I also love the second "Room Service." Mark being told to "rock on, brother" is pure gold.

I can't get enough of the cackling grandma. 🎉

This would've made for a great sitcom. I know Chris Elliott had 'Get a Life' but I would've loved to have seen these characters (especially Granma) on a weekly basis.
