Ahmed Mohamed's family holds press conference

The 14-year-old Irving, Texas high school student, who is Muslim, made headlines after he was arrested when he showed teachers a digital clock he had made and they called police because they thought it was a bomb.

Why is this kid being treated like a hero? He wasn't treated like a criminal. He was detained and investigated. He wasn't beaten or treated with cruelty. My heart goes out to the teacher who brought this to the police's attention. Did anyone forget the times we live in? Does anyone remember the Muslims who lost their minds over a cartoon of Mohammed and tried to kill people in Texas? I I saw a kid I knew was Muslim walking in school with a clock and circuit boards in a back pack I would report him too. As far as "Fear and manufactured hate" goes, it wasn't non Muslims who created it. Now watch what happens thenext time there is an actual terrorist trying to kill people. Because of this kid the whole "if you see something say something" crap just went out the window. "Political Correctness" has now taken precedence over the truth. You are no longer allowed to speak your mind, or tell the truth because you may insult a Muslim or the whole Muslim community. Because of this mind set people will die in the future. This kid knew what he was doing because he was told to put it away. Probably to prevent him from being accused of terrorist activity. So instead he provoked an incident which in turn worked out in his favor. I'm not surprised.. The teacher and the cops, who are good Americans, tried to do the right thing and are now seen as the "bad guys". So my advice to the average NON Muslim American is, if you see something don't say sh-t! Walk away FAST! Today, no good deed goes unpunished.

They look quite happy that they're about to cash in. It took a few attempts to get his "home made clock" that wasn't home made noticed in a negative way, hooking it up and setting the alarm during English class proved to be a good decision.

I hope the money will be worth all the backlash.

Tbh I would of call the cops to. Why the hell would he put it in suitcase that's just saying u want trouble
