LG G5 Review | ...could have been one of the very best ones...

I agree with everything you said about the phone. I do have it my only complaint is the battery and once you put the phone in a case most issues are gone A case is a must for me as I run heavy equipment

Nice vid, I know all about doing so many retakes with videos..I feel your pain! LG better step up their game for the G6. Shame about that build quality. I'm sure they will loose the add-on modules next year.

i havent been happier with other phones than G5. so good so good. very fast. the photo quality, very much satisfied. having lots of fun taking photos and videos. its worth the upgrade from G4.

One feature you missed is the brightness boost under direct sunlight.
You must have the brightness set to "AUTO" and then just use it under sunlight ..it will reach 100% and then a second or two later it will give the screen extra brightness boost.
I also wish you talked more about the wide angle, it proved to be very useful for me for me on my trips.

I would quite like the G5 because of its overall performance and camera. I am not particularly sold on its design, I think the G3 had the best design with it's compact tiny bezels but large 5.5" display. But it's functionality that counts most and the G5 has plenty to offer. If was going to buy a flagship phone, I would probably choose this one. Sadly I can't afford to buy one, so I will stick with my LG G4 Stylus and dream :-)

Great video, I've liked it. I guess all the hate towards this phone is the frustration of having such a good phone but the... LG ruins the whole thing with a few things, but major things. I really don't care about the premium finish thing, in fact I would love a top spec phone with a plastic case and replaceable backs so I wouldn't need to use a case, but the battery!! It's the same major issue since the G3! They haven't fixed it with the G4 and then they make it worst on the 5. It's like having a frind that goes to university, works really hard and decides to give up and switch degree 3 months before getting a 5 year degree. You feel like slapping them.

I had reluctantly dismissed this phone due the build quality issue, especially as an online purchase (who knows what you might get) - but now, with the lower price, it's a little tempting! Do you you think that there is a chance that LG can/will improve the build, mid-cycle, or is it not possible? I, for one, really appreciate the user replaceable battery and hope the concept makes a return to the marketplace in premium and mid-range phones!

I bought my G5 2 weeks ago (got it for 400€ so keep that in mind). I agree with your review, about the build, i think it's a great looking phone with a case. The battery life is kind of dissapointing but honestly I don't see myself having a day when I use the phone without plugging it in at least once a day. Every heavy phone user has a power bank now for example when travelling.

hey Damir here in the Philippines the price has actually dramatically decreased in online shops. I'm already familiar with this device's imperfections but would u recommend it if the original price has been slashed by like 25%, even cheaper now than the oneplus 3 and Nexus 6p.
