Charles Blow opens up “Prime” discussing Civil rights leaders’ meeting with President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris at the White House on voting rights.

Civil rights leaders urged the Biden administration to use its power to pass voting rights saying, “Our backs are against the wall.”

Blow speaks to Ezra Levin, co-founder of Indivisible, and Nse Ufot, CEO of New Georgia Project, about the importance of getting voting rights passed quickly.

“This is our star player. This is somebody who we all worked so hard to get into the game and he’s been on the sidelines. That’s the disappointing thing so far,” Levin says of Biden not taking a more hands-on approach in trying to get voting reform. “Where is the president?”

What is the voter suppression they are speaking of? In what state can you not drive or take some kind of transportation and vote at your local polling place? Or is there a different matter that is upsetting them?

All Americans have the right to vote. "American". If you aren't a citizen you can't vote. Simple. Should you be required to show ID? Yes. If you don't have ID when a police officer ask for it you can be detained for 24 hours, yet people all in their feelings think otherwise. Stop replacing logic and common sense with your feelings.
