I still wanted a cold open where Archer walks onto the bridge, looked around quizzically, and gone "Oh boy." 😂

That dog survived multiple space battles, the whole of season 3 with the battled damaged ship, space distortions and the borg. One of the strongest pets in the franchise alongside spot

There is a story of Scott in New Orleans while shooting NCIS NOLA. A random person happened to see him one day. As they passed, the person nodded and said, "Good Morning, Captain".
Bakula immediately stopped, called them back, and began a severe dressing down in front of everyone on the street for calling him "Captain" instead of the more appropriate rank of "Admiral". They said he did it without breaking character in the least, straight faced chewed the guy out, then simply walked on to resume his day.
I love that story and absolutely loved everything about Enterprise.

Even if getting an Enterprise Season 5 is impossible. Who wouldn’t want Captain Archer to have a comeback in another show. I think I’d prefer time travel shenanigans rather than resurrection though

Bakula NEEDS to come back as both Capt. Jonathan Archer AND Dr. Sam Beckett. We need closure!

That airlock scene is star trek. Showing the duality of man and that its a hard call when you gotta save billions. Case and point DS9 "In the Pale Moonlight"

I just started watching the entire run of ENTERPRISE because I only saw a scattered handful of episodes when it originally aired, and I heard so much negative fanboy buzz about it that I never delved into it... and... I am just amazed at how great it was. I liked season one FAR more than I liked season one of TNG, DS9 or VOYAGER. And Bakula's Archer is a big reason. He needs to come back as an Admiral or Ambassador in STRANGE NEW WORLDS.

I've heard so many people talk about how great Scott Bakula is. Don Bellisario said that Scott was frequently helping the crew on Quantum Leap to build sets.

I love Season 3. It's super upsetting to watch, but in retrospect it's such a unique time capsule of television, showing how even Star Trek was fundamentally changed by 9/11

10:41 See, I liked the fact that Archer, a true boyscout, was put into a position where he had to compromise his morals for the greater good. It was about as close to a Pale Moonlight moment as we got for Archer. They made it clear he wasn't actually going to kill that guy, but had to convince him he was capable of doing it. I also love how in Season 4's episode Home, Archer lamented not going out with more weapons to Captain Ramirez.

The Xindi Arc changed him, and good characters change.

Jonathan Archer is really Sam Becket stuck in the future and has yet to fix what went wrong since it is the future after all. Also, it was actually Sam Becket and the Quantum Leap project that started the whole temporal cold war.
That's just my theory.

One of my favorite Captains in the most underrated series.

the whole part about archer torturing someone in a air lock really brings weight to Quarks lines in siege of ar-558 " Let me tell you something about Hew-mons, Nephew. They're a wonderful, friendly people, as long as their bellies are full and their holosuites are working. But take away their creature comforts, deprive them of food, sleep, sonic showers, put their lives in jeopardy over an extended period of time and those same friendly, intelligent, wonderful people... will become as nasty and as violent as the most bloodthirsty Klingon. You don't believe me? Look at those faces. Look in their eyes."

I always liked and like it today Enterprise. Sure not all episodes were top but it was interesting to see this interpretation of early federation. The 4th season was also good doesn’t matter if it was the Augment Klingon or the racism (can’t remember the organizations name ) parts. I would like to see more about the Romulan War which had begun in Season 4. this is a chapter of Star Trek which never really was handled

I'm 50 years old now and grew up watching Star Trek with my father and when all of Trek went onto CBS All Access and then Paramount we started rewatching all the shows but before my father started watching Discovery he wanted to watch Enterprise again since it took place right before Discovery but unfortunately he got sick and passed away before he finished Enterprise so watching Discovery and Strange New Worlds and the two animated shows is just missing something watching without my dad.

Enterprise is an AMAZING show and Archer was a great captain who encapsulated the Star fleet learning curve

Scott Bakula is a textbook Hollywood success story. I think every series that he was involved with concluded open-ended. Presently, he could reprise a role in 3 different active properties. How good is that?
