I did airborne testing in 1967 and it was rather tough training, calisthenics, running, and more running and 3 weeks of verbal harassment. I finally survived it even after twisting my knee on the 4th jump I managed to persevere earning my cherished jump wings before shipping off to Nam and being assigned to the 101st Airborne afterwards.

I was at Benning for jump school in May 97. We did the same training, it works, hundreds of PLFs later, lol. Airborne!

95 pct of them wouldn't have made it in the first week of jump school of the 40s 50s 60s and 70s, Airborne school was one of the toughest and roughest you could attend

Or how to train and hook up with your dragon. So they train their brains to believe that if they jump, they gonna land. Not only that, but when you have so many fools following, you gonna slide right into it cause all resistance is being cancelled. :))) Like when you associate a less threatening or a neutral stimuli with a dangerous one to show them soldiers there is nothing to worry about :))). That's quite a mindfuq.
