This made me sick, of course, the little spoiled boys, did weird things. Poor Martha Moxley.

I have followed this case for years. I believe his affluent family definitely had an influence how the case was treated. And also the connection to the Kennedy’s. Thanks Dr Grande for covering it.

Wow, I have been following this case since the early 2000s. The Moxleys lived next door to the Skaakels which is of note. Their community, Belle Haven, was small and gated. Very unlikely for a stranger to have done this. Michael is guilty as sin IMHO.

The writer, Dominck Dunne wrote a great piece on this case for Vanity Fair. The story heavily sides with the theory that Michael was the murderer of Martha Moaxley. One a side note, Dunne's daughter, Dominique, was a young actress who played the part of the eldest daughter in the film, Poltergeist. She had been strangled to death by an abusive boyfriend who was meted a light sentence. Since his daughter's death, Dunne made it a mission to pursue justice for those who no longr had a voice. Martha was just a couple of years younger than Dominique. I only say all of this because perhaps Dr. Grande would be interested in looking at Dominick, a prolific writer for Vanity Fair, who focussed mostly on deadly crimes amongst the wealthy and celebrated. He had his heyday in Hollywood in his younger days. Great analysis as usual Dr. Grande.

Well, at least he ended up doing about 13 years of prison time, better than nothing, I guess.

I remember this case. I did read the Mark Furman book years ago and thought Michael was guilty. I have to wonder about inadequacies in the original investigation. Had this crime been investigated more thoroughly back then there might have been a more definitive measure of justice for Martha. I still am still troubled by this tragic story.

I grew up in Greenwich ct and went to school with the Skakels and was Martha's age when this happened. I will tell you that those kids (Skakels) had zero adult supervision. I went there once and remember thinking "where are the grown ups"? We didn't really mind but in retrospect it probably was a factor. I think Rushton Skakel had a lot of influence back in the day but I think the Kennedy connection was not so much a factor in the end. I don't know who killed Martha for certain but I definitely see reasonable doubts in all directions. It's too bad. She deserved so much better! Thanks Dr. G! 💜🌵

Those darn dogs!! A couple of points to add. I noticed you didn't say that the Skakels lived next door. That kinda adds to how easily it would be for the brothers to commit the crime. Also, the golf clubs were not a common brand. Apparently Ann had been an ardent golfer and these were very expensive golf clubs. Also, Mrs.Moxley hired Mark Furman to investigate and he wrote a book about the case. From everything I've read it seems like Michael was the culprit. He has had serious drug and alcohol problems thru the years and confessed to several different treatment centers groups about Martha. Maybe Martha's death ate away at him and he used drugs and alcohol to try and numb his demons. I don't think Tommy can be ruled out but it seems more likely it was Michael. The Skakels were an out of control family with wealth to throw a problems. Very, very sad case.

Another Dr. Toddism, “The dogs never told them why they were barking so this is why dogs cannot appear in court”. How do you keep from laughing, when I’m hysterical! Hahaha!

I’ve always wondered why dogs are not allowed to testify in court 🤔😂. Idk if you respond to comments, but I’ve been binge watching your videos… I’m hooked. ☮️

I would be more suspicious of Tommy because of being rejected by Martha. The murder was personal and filled with rage. But I wouldn’t be surprised if both brothers killed her together.

To think how close she was to making it home. Heartbreaking for her and her poor family. 😓🙏

Wasn't the Martha Moxley case presented by Dominic Dunne in an episode of the show, "Power, Privilege, and Justice?" The show was about murders involving wealthy and affluent people. I really enjoyed that show.

My ex used to say that the intelligence of a group of teens is multiplicative. The greater the number involved, the dumber their behavior would be. Without adequate parental oversight, the ability to make good decisions seems to plummet to near zero. It’s such a shame in this case.

Thanks for the analysis! 🌵

This happened when i was 15 and so was Martha, and I lived in Connecticut, although in the central part and not in a wealthy family. This has only received much press due to the Kennedy connection .Yes, Michael was convicted and served some prison time. Now he is free! Marth's mother waited so long for justice. This must have been heartbreaking for her.
