I dig the cleanliness of the console. I put stock in how I feel in my boat too so I would have probably put 2 screens and filled up the console more with stuff just because I think it looks cool as hell! I can’t wait for this thing to be done and for you and Val to get it back on the water!

Capt Mike awesome choice on the electronics. That is going to be really nice. If I was a Captain I'd be afraid of a single unit only because if it goes down like you mentioned it was hard to find the unit to begin with so you may be running without electronics for a little while if that happens. I feel your pain on this build, I bought a Rambo in Oct 2019, getting a total re engineer and rehab, and I am finally about 2 weeks from it being done. It's such a process working with small shops and it's been amazing to me how busy they have stated throughout a pandemic. Tight lines!

Looking good. Can’t wait to see it on the water. We run trip 300 Verados on our boat and that exhaust mode is awesome. Love hearing them rumble. Tight lines!

That Simrad is an absolute unit! I always laugh when I see the installer chewing gum while you’re recording 😂

I am a big fan of the Simrad at the top of the console like you have it mounted vs many builders who mount it lower with switches at the top.

I think I might have mounted it to the left in front of the wheel ... but I'm not standing there, you are. It's beautiful, Mike.

i have watched this series since you started. All I can say is "WOW WHAT A NICE BOAT."
Hope you get that baby on the water real soon.
I have a Lowrance HDS7 Gen 3 and recently updated to a Totalscan transducer. I have done one test of the Log Sonar feature for creating structure maps and it looks promising for getting an overlay of what the bottom looks like especially on artificial reefs and possibly ledges along the shipping channels in the Tampa Bay Area to see where the actual debris is located. Once you create the maps you can save them to an SD card and then anytime you travel over an area you have scanned it will automatically display the bottom structure as an overlay on your chart. You can even look at the chart while the boat is out of the water and see the overlay and even add waypoints if desired. I think???? only Lowrance and Simrad???? have this feature.
Here is a link to a really SMART guy that has the technique down pat. One thing that is important is selecting the correct file type when saving the logged files, ie. either a SL3 for the newer units or the SL2 for the older units like mine.
Just something you might want to try if your unit has that capability.
Tight Lines to you on your new fishing adventures.

Good little system for the boys playing on the weekend. Move up to real captain status and come push 15 barge two on the water. You will see why ROSE POINT IS KING IN MARINE NAVIGATION.
