I don't know about for anybody else but it's much easier for me just skip breakfast and not be hungry. When I try to just eating breakfast and lunch inevitably I'm starving before bed no matter how much fats I've eaten with both of those two meals and then I either don't sleep well or end up eating again where I know I shouldn't

IF I eat breakfast, I find that I’m hungry more often. If my first meal is about 1-3pm I can control my hunger better.

Thing is, the earlier I eat in the day, the more I eat throughout that day. The later I start eating, the less I eat.

I eat a large healthy brunch around 1.30pm and a nice substantial health dinner around 6.00pm lots of tea and water in between and never hungry.😃

With the cost of food these days, I skip breakfast, lunch and dinner.

When I eat even a healthy very low carb breakfast I have lower energy throughout the day. If I eat my first meal at noon, I’m a completely different person and have steady energy, no brain fog and reduced cravings

Breakfast is Break Fast. It's the meal that breaks your fast; doesn't have to be in the morning.

Doesn’t work for me. Prefer to exercise in a fasted state., and have a daily long duration of Autophagy. Which up-regulates fat burning. OMAD is fine for some of us.

Maybe. But for most people, skipping breakfast is the easiest way to do a 16/8 or 18/6. Best to have dinner with your family as early as possible. Better for your relationships and all-around health.

Taking Dr Fung's advice, skipping breakfast and only eating between 1pm to 9pm has cured the type 2 diabetes in several people I know. I eat only between 5pm - 9pm and my blood glucose levels are excellent.

Breakfast being the most important meal of the day is a totally modern saying. First coined by John Harvey Kellogg as a way to increase sales of his bland corn-flake cereal.

Wow that's amazing.. now Ramadan we Muslims eat before sunrise fast the whole day and eat at the sunset 🌇 and eat at night depending on need ... personally I avoid eating at night, my health got better and insulin resistance symptoms are disappearing after several days of fasting !

I eat one meal per day usually around 2-5pm. I’ve done this my entire adult life. Never have been overweight. Just my experience.

She is right. I am an insulin dependent diabetic and have tried the intermittent fasting and found that when I wake in the morning my blood glucose is in the 200 range if I go 16 hours without food. Maybe intermittent fasting works for some but not me. Thank you Doctor for posting your message.

Completely agree. I actually check my glucose an hour or two before bed and if it’s over 100, then I go for a walk. I will not go to bed with anything over 100. That also means mindful eating later in the day.

I've been doing IF since 2014 and had amazing results in the beginning; 65 pounds lost in 3/4 months. Unhealthy weight loss, true, however, I had a lot of spare time doing college which was often filled with weightlifting and basketball. In the last few years, weightlifting and exercise have exited the chat, but I continued my fasting ways. All of the weight I lost has steadily come back - plus some. Maybe this is a sign I should replace my dinner meal with a breakfast meal. Interesting.

If I eat in the morning I am hungry all day, but if I follow my hunger I eat in the afternoon and I can control my eating better.
