Will this inspire you? I had so much fun thinking outside of the box! There are so many ways to cultivate orchids, especially ephytic orchids! Seeing as they would normally only grow roots to anchor themselves on to something, like a tree branch, the media, the method, whatever the choice is, imagination and creativity can play a big part in making the right decisions to grow orchids on. In this video I am showing you 5 different ways that I aim to get these orchids to grow, from innovative support methods to using pumice, leca and bark where applicable.

Watched all the five approaches of repot. And the fifth "peacock dance" is super, imaginative.

Yes I had good fun watching the repot, it is very unusual 😁. But I can appreciate your decision, it’s a way to help you get the leaves upright. You can keep it in the house during Christmas as part of your Christmas decorations, maybe hang small Christmas balls in it 😂. I like the kingianum garland, a very good idea 👍🏼. Something I will surely apply on my own Kingianum Alba which is in need of a repot. It has been withering for months due to a scale infestation 😬. Thanks you for sharing your ideas, how wacky they might be😂

🤗🤗Heeeea, Jambo bwana! I thought I was hallucinating and watching Nina in Blue Peter…😂Orchids truly Ninja’d.🤣 Love the Paphiopedilum tree and the chain gang Kingianums. 🥰. Wouldn’t it be fantastic to have a tree of orchids for Xmas decorations instead of the usual stuff. Bark is back 👍. Hope your Sunday is fun and all your chores swiftly accomplished 🌼❤️

Hi Nina. I love the way you have wired the keikis up. I might give it a go as I have about 50:native Aussie keikis to deal with.

🦒🤔😂!!!! Lol, it was such fun to watch, such criativity🤸!!! Now I understand why the thumbnail took you so long, the peacock tail looking branches must have been quite a challenge. All your thumbnails are art pieces, anyway 👌!!!! The gratrixianum could not have a better set up, keep my fingers crossed that little root develops and others sprout 🤞🤞I also Ioved the way you wired the keikis, what a wonderful idea to hold them in place !!! My piece Potinara has a tiny bud, after so many years I feel very happy about it, to be able to see the blooms despite being stingy on the root front. I am sure your arguments will make yours grow a much better root system🤩 They will all develop wonderfully for you and give you much joy as they all look so happy, they could'nt be in a better home. The nicest of SUNdays to you amiga mia and the zoo❤️😍🤗

Well, that is definitely different. Umm, what happens if she wants to push out a new growth on that side🤔 You never know what side is going to push up new plants. I would also worry about the leaves as it grows. Will be interesting to watch . 😊👍

You typically mention that your media is prepped or cleaned, how do you go about doing that? Perhaps that might be a topic for a future video. Hope you’re having a fabulous day ☺️

The Paphiopedilum is definitely different, it is attractive but that's going to eat up a lot of space n'est-ce pas? Brilliant idea with the kingianum keikis to get them all together at the same height and you don't have to muddle around trying to position each one. Now if you get that nobile to bloom and mine doesn't bloom again, well, I'm going to give up growing orchids and start knitting sweaters for kittens. 🤣
I hope you didn't wear yourself out today cleaning the casa. Or throw your back out. I finally got around to pricking apart the last African Violet babies from the mother leaf. Man do I have a lot of babies that I didn't want. I guess Paula will get some, my niece will get some, Yoshi's daughter. And I will still have a bunch laying around.

The way you potted the den. kingianum is very interesting. I will be adopting that technique for repotting orchids that have minimal roots, to simulate roots and provide stability. Thanks Nina!
