I’ve decided to graduate early and I’m watching a few videos to make sure it’s the right choice for me. I’ve done online school through my whole high school experience because my mom is high risk for Covid. I’m very excited to graduate early and start my life.

i love how you explained, when i first had the idea of graduating early EVERYONE in my family told me about ALL of the activities that i would be missing by graduating at 14 like prom and senior trip, but if you want it you are going to work for it especially if you don't like school

I'm going into 8th this year and am doing online. I feel like it will be a lot easier to graduate earlier because I work really fast and public school held me back so much.

I needed this video. Im graduating in January (it’s the end of October right now.) I just feel lost. I’m trying to move with my dad (who is across the country) I’m sick of living here, not trying to get into that. If I move now it may be a chance that I can graduate early where my dad lives. He lives in a better area and it’s way more opportunity. Where I’m at now (my moms house) it sucks. I have a plan already about going to community college and than transferring to a university, but I want to get out of this state. I don’t fully have a plan when I get to his place but it’s still way more opportunities and even then I’ll go to community than a university. I feel like all my life I just wanted that ideal life and I didn’t get it. The Highschool in at now is poor. 4 classes, nothjng fun, can’t nor anything nice like the early college (Which I have taken classes at online.) I would be starting community college in Fall 2025 though. I’m just so lost honestly.. If I go to his house I’m not going to have any friends for a long time. I don’t know how to send all my stuff and my car. Money isn’t the problem I just feel like it’s everything else. And I will be able to come back to my Highschool to walk across the stage and go to prom but I’m honestly deciding if I am going to go to prom anymore..

Was transitioning to college difficult, especially since you didn't have as much high school? Were the classes difficult?

I'm deciding to graduate next year because there is no point in me staying my senior year when I would only need one class. I can replace this class with a dual enrollment psychology class next year. I'm only ahead because I got to take English 1 and Algebra 1 in 8th grade, not because I have a crazy schedule. And right now, I'm taking Ap English and Honors Human body systems. I've never liked being in school, and I want to pursue psychology really badly. I have no motivation for Ap English because I wanted to take Ap biology, but I'm gonna try to get the college credit. I can see if it's hard and I wanted the class, but I did not want this class at all.

Hey! I don’t know if you’re still answering questions, but if I graduate in junior year, will that affect my admissions to a regular 4 year college? I want to pursue pre med and I think that graduating early would benefit me.

Hi, I don’t know if you are still responding to questions, but I would love if you could respond to mine. Since you did graduate early, did you take any AP or IB type classes? I am a sophomore and could finish all requirements by the end of junior year. I am quite interested in history, and I am already done with a college credit for U.S. History and school requirements; so would it make sense to complete the rest of my credits next year, graduate early, and then start a community college or smaller college in the spring to focus more on history and get ahead? Thank you so much! :)

Hi! I’m homeschooled and looking at a university that has a scholarship for $36, 000 except if u take more then 5 dual enrollment classes. I was planning on taking a lot so this made me think about graduating a year early. I’m a sophomore so that means if I do it, I have 1 and 1/2 years to. I’d have to double up on Math and English (due to state requirements) but my other subjects would stay consistent to a normal pace.

Basically my question is, w/out knowing me well, do you think it would be better to graduate a year early with some xtra school or stay on my path and just take electives Sr. Year? The benefit of the second is I have more time to prepare and figure out what I want.

I’m really confused. If you graduated in your junior year, did you only go half of it? And if you start college in the spring do you just finish the freshman year during the summer and then immediately take sophomore year in college?
