Here are 3 exercises that are sometimes misunderstood (and how you can benefit!)

Fingertip Pushups - I'm not sure what most people think this is for. Maybe a way to strengthen fingers or a toughness exercise? I use these if I want to use bodyweight to train grip in an open position. It's not as direct as using rubber band or doing extensor exercises, but I sometimes follow up intense grip sessions with these. They're also useful for stabilizing the wrist.

Clutch Flags / Human Flags - these seem to be considered a display of strength or a core exercise. Or some people who dislike calisthenics may just feel they're a show-off exercise. While they may be all of those things, I've always practiced flags to train the sides of the body (like obliques) and increase core stability. If flags aren't your thing, that's fine! However, I recommend some exercise that trains your lateral chain (sides). This could be side planks or one arm deadlifts. Many unilateral exercises work this to some extent.

Muscle ups - I think some people just think of this as an extension of the pullup. While it can be considered that, the top and bottom part of the muscle up work significantly different muscle groups. You could even separate them and still get the benefit. For this reason, I consider muscle ups to be a power exercise and train them alongside plyometrics. Easier versions would be pop-ups or clapping pullups (those might be harder depending on how you do them). It may be notable that because of this, I train muscle ups with low reps and higher sets to try to maximize the power on each rep.
