I will buy an instrument from the andertons because they had Dave Simpson on. He is a jewel of a human being.

Dave has been and continues to be the biggest inspiration for me picking up a guitar again after 25+ years of not playing. I couldn't thank him enough & Andertons for doing this series. Top blokes, the lot of you.

Dave is a walking history of guitar sounds. Another great ep. Gotta do David Gilmour at some point.

Fleetwood Mac played our blues club when they were an out and out blues band. I was playing bass in the resident band and it was a tradition that at the end of the evening we would all get back on stage and have an almighty jam. John McVie said to me 'we don't need two bass players so you play while I go and get a drink' so I can say that I once played in Fleetwood Mac(sort of!). BTW the best exponent of Peter Green's sound is Bernie Marsden. His Green and Blues album is killer.

These Dave Simpson vids are becomming the best on Andertons TV. good mix of talking, educating, playing and infotainment about gear. love it.
And Mr Andertons, give this guys some toys, e.g. a Les Paul...

Nice, some classic Fleetwood Mac. I always loved Green's playing, such a great guitarist and some of my favourite riffs from him have always been Oh Well and Albatross

I own Peter Green's guitar strap and one of the amps they used on their '69/'70 US tour.

Dave is right. Greenie’s tone is a endless search. And let’s not forget Danny Kerwan.

Oh yes, now we talking.
This is the one I've been waiting for.
Dave "Greeny" Simpson

On a side note, could we have a sweep of the amp settings that Dave uses?

I think the "Orange" that Peter used was actually what is now Matamp

I was lucky enough to see Peter Green live some years back. Although mentally he had lost much of his self, his brilliance still shone through. I feel lucky to have seen one of the true greats.

Dave and the Captain are the best hosts on guitar YouTube. Looking forward to seeing many more videos of them together 🙏🎸⚡

When BB King says falt out, that Peter Green was the only living guitarist to make me sweat. He had the sweetest tone I've ever heard? means everything. For me, Peter Green makes the hair on my arms stick up. He had one of the greatest tones and was one of the top greats of all time IMO. These episodes are fun to watch and listen to.

Peter Green was once played our band's demo and he said he liked my guitar playing! That's my anecdote. Blues Driver is great but quite "American" sounding. Loved the Sweet Cream. Also, that Fuxx Fuzz has a great sound.

I played with Peter Green in the mid eighties, it was his Birthday Bash at his local club in south London, one of his mates asked our band to play Albatross, after our rendition we recieved a hearty appreciation from his friends, then asked if he could do the number again with us, I had no idea I had played Albatross in front of the guy who wrote it, did not know him at all. He was presented a Fender Stratocaster, and turned to me and said in a most humble way, I will show you how to play this number in open chords after you end your set tonight, which he did, I was so nervous now, I were shaking, but he just played it in the same key, I played the backing, he turned to me to do some lead guitar but I declined. Think his mates wanted him to play it anyway.

Crazy, I've been aware of Peter Green for about ten years, I was familiar with a few of his songs, but yesterday I spent several hours listening to Peter, and I loved it, I even plugged in and jammed for a bit.
And now today...
