These Dogs REALLY Love Their Mail Carrier｜RingTV

It’s the best time of the day for these pups when Anjelo, the mail carrier, comes. Will, a weimaraner, and Jack, a bernedoodle, were so excited they sprinted over to the front porch to say hello. Jack ran so fast, he slid past Anjelo right into the door. Thanks to their Ring Video Doorbell with a Ring Protect subscription, the pups’ family had a laugh when they watched the Ring video.

“We thought the video was absolutely hilarious and a great representation of how great Anjelo is and how crazy Will and Jack can be,” says Katie. “We loved being able to see both the front and back views of the event.”

Unfortunately I don’t have video, but many years ago, I got a wolf hybrid pup. And being a responsible pet owner I built a 6’ fence around my entire backyard (which was pointless since the pup could jump it by time she was 6 mos old).
But I had also relocated my mailbox from at the side door on the deck, to at the top of the stairs at the gate before the side door. That way the mailman & newspaper kid wouldn’t have to enter the yard (or risk my dog getting out).
One day I happened to be home from work, through the window I saw the mailman coming. But then I heard a huge ‘reaction’. I dashed out to scold my dog, when the mailman stopped me.
He explained that every day Love (my dog) would crouch down and hide behind the gate, then when the mailman reached to lift the lid of the mailbox (which was mounted on the gate), Love would pop up, slap her paws on the lid and give her most fearsome growl (at 4 months it wasn’t very fearsome). Then the mailman would rub her eyes, get a kiss, and he gave her a small milk-bone.
But here I was thinking my pup was this vicious predator eating mailmen. Only to find out it was a private game between the mailman and her.
(Smart mailman. Becoming friendly and familiar with the dogs on his route while the dogs were still young.)

Plot twist: The owner sends the dogs racing out to the mailman so she has an excuse for chasing after them to talk with the handsome mailman...

This guy was exceptional. He was awesome and with a really good personality too! Honestly, I would have been so scared. She should not let her dogs run so freely like that; some people love animals but are still afraid of the ones that they don’t know. Not everyone’s a dog person. I thought they were about to attack him. I’m glad it turned out well.

I used to be a letter carrier and had many bad encounters with dogs and even a cat. The people were even worse! I love all animals though, people mehhhh.
