Review of the xiaomi 4K drone. Today I am testing the xiaomi Mi 4K drone. Is this the BEST 4k drone for UNDER £330?

You can disable the maximum distance to 500 meters through the settings --> GPS mode. Τhe maximum distance is approximately 5 kilometers, but depends on many factors that affect the transmission of the signal. Τhe maximum altitude is 500 meters

I’m actually quite impressed with this drone, good quality with some great features at an excellent price - plus it’s 4K!
A rather impressive alternative if you can’t afford the DJI price range.

The max distance is limited by default in the app, you need to turn it off to get the max distance. :) cheers!

Very impressive, especially for the price. I notice the movement of the orbit wasn't all that consistent. Were you compensating with the sticks, trying to keep yourself in the center of the frame?

ok, so I've watched a couple of videos on this drone and so far I have not seen what I want to see in a review. How do the controls compare to the DJI models? i.e. when you let go of the gimbal stick, does the quad auto stop? Seems like such a hard thing for some to add to their reviews for some reason. Thanks for the rest of the great video review though.

James, if you did not know, the antenna configuration for that drone is to actually have them in a flat horizontal position. A bit weird but I am sure it is in the directions. Happy flying !!!

Hmm... seems like you never really checked the app features. As many have said, you only reach the limit that was the default setting in the drone. So to be honest. YOu should maybe adress your errors in the video, because even though you actually liked it, and gave it a thumbs up. Many things you said, was actually not correct.

Awesome review. I’m currently waiting for mine to be delivered.
What do you do about ND filters ? Do you know of any solution to that issue due to the shape of the camera? Also - do you need an SD card? Is there one in the box included ? What SD card do you use for 4k with this camera ? Thanks again for the great review.
p. s. 500m is a limited distance by the app. I think it can be turned off or after you clock some time with the drone you unlock the full range. Correct me if i’m wrong. Cheers!

Can't believe you had the antennas pointing at the drone like that! Rookie! The signal was pointing up at the sky and down at the floor. Not at your Drone at all. Get some parabolic range extenders for a phantom p4 and file the hole bigger to fit. You will double the range. Also they will only fit on with your antennas pointing at the floor. (How they were designed to work) so don't file the hole too big or they will slip off. Rookie! Haha. Great review man. Great editing and info. I appreciate your work.

My girl got me this drone for Christmas and I am loving it, I got the 1080p version and it's still amazing

I pop my gimbal and props off in about 20 seconds, fold the legs and it slides right into my med sized back pack. Try that with any of the phantom series. This also means I can protect my gimble better while travelling.Comparing this to a Mavic is wrong, try a p3 or p4. The phantom 3 se being its closest competitor in price.

The motors sound like they need a tune, fair amount of oscillation. Great image quality though!

You have the antennae set up wrong. You should point them downwards with the flat surface facing the drone. Gives you less interference from your phone and longer range. And the max distance can be set in the app as others already pointed out.

Nice video m8 cool drone but from my experience with antennae they should be tilted down by 45 degs and disable the lock on distance in settings....good work
