Escaping Calypso's Island Ep.02: Trapped in the Cave (The Curse of Game Theory)

Is the world a zero sum game or an open system shaped by creativity and cooperation? What truly defines humanity's supposed "limits to growth" and what is a "limited resource"? Is overpopulation a true crisis or is it a myth?

In this second episode in the ongoing series 'Escaping Calypso's Island', Cynthia Chung explores these questions, and examines the fallacies underlying the popular notion that human civilization can only grow at the expense of nature.

I never fail to be hugely impressed by Cynthia Chung and the productions by the Rising Tide Foundation

You help me understand the insanity that is pervading our World but also display the incredible feats carried out on this Earth by decent people who simply wish to improve our lives

As you say, co-operation should be the name of the game, not the selfish obsessions of the "Globalists" like Schwab and his super-rich DAVOS band who have made their fortunes at the expense of decent humanity

I pray that humanity, meaning decency towards fellow humans. will win this battle.

Thankyou Cynthia, you are a treasure!

How simple, how well presented and how much more accurate a picture of the world than the "Global Cooling" which I lived through and now "Global Warming" but it never seems to be that we get outraged at or predict how wars are destroying the Planet, the water, the air and life on Earth as we know it. Congratulation to Cynthia and Matt for such a wonderful presentation. Vandana Shiva would be so proud of both of you. I certainly hope she sees this.

Insightful and excellent work as always, with so many informations worth of presenting to the people who are still trapped in the Plato's cave.

Each episode just keeps getting better & better!
I once saw someone's idea for City Planning designed as a 'checkerboard', wherein the 'white' squares were all planted in Flora, with water conduits & on the 'black' squares are built the buildings. Looked fantastic on paper!

Absolutely amazing, keep it up,

My review 7.5/10
Graphics 9/10
Content 9.5/10
Value 15/10
Audio 6.9/10 -
Music needs to be a more quieter so we can hear Cynthia more clearly.
One rule of any narration content on youtube is : Audio needs to be prioritized over any visual things,
why?
Eyes forget,
but Ears never forgive ;-)

This is the most insightful and encouraging video series I have ever seen. It has made my day (and indeed my outlook) much brighter. This needs to be promoted to a much wider audience to counter the doom and gloom we are bombarded with in the MSM. I look forward to the rest of this series, and I will encourage any thinking person that I know to check it out. Kudos and a big thank you for your seemingly tireless work on this topic! Cheers!

If they truly believed we are depleting our natural resources, why do they produce only "throw-away" products anymore? Cars, refrigerators, all appliances, etc. lasted for decades. I personally have appliances from the early 60's that still work. My refrigerator is 30 years old. If I had a TV, I hear they only last a short time now. We aren't the problem, the money junkies are.

What a refreshing and positive look at the world, We in the west rarely get a look at these wonderful projects occurring in other parts of the world. Thank. you for this balanced and human documentary.
