So true. One of the points reminded me of a guy I was dating for a while. I was still evaluating him, we weren't in a relationship yet. He lived in a different town, so we could only see each other on weekends if at all. So, once when I wanted to see him he told me he has to work out (he was a bodybuilder). I told him he can work out any day, but we can only see each other once a week if at all. Then he told me that sports is important to him (i.e. more important than me). Another time I decided to stop texting him and he really didn't contact me for more than a week and that's when I knew for sure that guy was wasting my time, so I stopped seeing him.

You say it's a bad sign if he says right away "I don't want anything serious". But if he says "I'm looking for something serious" - it scares me too!
What am I supposed to think? I don't even know you yet, and you already bring seriousness onto me? How can I want something serious with someone I don't know yet? But to get to know someone, I need to take time! So, until then, I can't want anything serious. I can dream about having a serious relationship, but I can't want that with anyone I just started dating before knowing that person for a long time!
Ultimately, saying anything is mostly meaningless to me - it's what a person does. To see someone in action over time TAKES TIME.
