EVO magazine started in 1998. In 2010, EVO named the 997.2 GT3 RS 3.8 their car of the year.

EVO magazine had a special edition in October, 2014 for their 200th issue. They picked 20 cars over their 16 years of publication to represent the best of what EVO stands for, including CGT, GT2, LFA… Numerous journalist spent days, driving many miles in these cars…. In the end they picked the 997.2 GT3 RS 3.8 as THE car, the best among the best of the prior 16 years.

God damn, I had a day in one of these, slinging it around the back roads, hearing the engine hit redline before stomping on the heavy clutch and finessing the gear one ratio higher is a memory I will NEVER forget. Need to get one of these onto my channel ASAP. Great video!

The 991 GT3 RS had a 4.0 liter not a 3, 6. The regular GT3 of the 991.1 had a 3, 8. The last 3, 6 was the 997.1 GT3/RS
