Hard to believe this song has been in 6 decades already; 70's 80's 90's 2000's 2010's 2020's and still sounds better than modern music.

Pure magic. It was a new sound, new wave. Still sounds good over 40 years later. This classic stood the test of time & is better than today's music.

For those wondering, the musicians are lead vocalist Deborah Harry, guitarist Frank Infante, guitarist-twelve string guitarist-E-bow player Chris Stein, bassist Nigel Harrison, drummer Clem Burke, and electronic keyboardist Jimmy Destri.

Man, she's a really good singer. Every note on point, but sounding so relaxed.

She just seemed to know instinctively which moves to make, (or not make), which expressions to use-- she was BORN to be this woman, she led the pack, every move she made, wild or tame-- everything she did seemed absolutely RIGHT and NATURAL. This song filled the dance floors every single time. Debbie, thanks for helping me survive my youth....

I was born in 64 so this lady was a big fav of mine in 78/79, the whole music scene had blasted off big style during those years. Punk had taken hold from 76 onwards, Disco had arrived and almost gone, New Wave was pounding the charts (Talking Heads were a big fav of mine back then) and we were under siege by the Two-Tone ambassadors, Madness, Selector, and The Special. 1970 onwards was indeed a fantastic time for popular music, albeit USA or England, the music coming from both countries was absolutely world leading. I was so lucky to have experienced these eras, J was still massively impacted by the 1960’s with Northern Soul, the Beatles, the whole 60’s vibe and then coming of age in the 70’s, the 80’s brought big changes and then the 90’s WOW.. things took off then as well, and it got better and better, all that music and those eras.. how lucky was I eh? Being into guitar as well really filled my time, gigging quite a bit in the 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s.. had to sack it then though, I got to old to be chasing around my local area (East Midlands, England) playing music to 20 people (not including our own mob) BUT I do wish we’d have gigged more, SO younger musicians, keep that in mind, KEEP PERFORMING.. The Live music scene NEEDS YOU..
Anyways, enough talking about my lucky times experiencing so much fantastic music over the years, go pick your guitar up and get practicing..
Thanks for listening.. <3

Blondie never gets old. The music is timeless, great and memorable. In fact, we all have memories connected to Blondie songs. Thank God for Blondie and Debra Harry.

My aunt looked like her - Im 55. One of my earliest memories is of a beautiful woman looking down into the pram with a great big loving smile. Probably about 1970. Lost to covid. Brought tears to an infantry veterans eyes. Party like hell up there, Glenys!

Blondie had many hits back then in the 70's and early 80's - but this one was their master piece. Man, does Debra Harry look hot here, or what !?

I'd nearly forgotten of "Blondie" until re-discovery a few days ago. I used to "greatly enjoy" her songs in the 1980s.
