In celebration of Miley's new album "Plastic Hearts" (a week late I know).
I made this remix / mashup of Blondie's song "Heart Of Glass" with Miley's live rendition at the iHeart Festival.
Tried my best to "replicate" the "Edge of Midnight Remix" concept from Miley and Stevie Nicks' collab.

You can’t possibly compare the two. Blondie was one of my favorite bands growing up. The music was so much fun back then, and Debbie Harry was so cool and smooth !!

I love both versions. I saw Blondie open for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers who opened for the Kinks in 1978 - she was incredible. I also love Miley's style. They are both talented, beautiful, and icons. Different styles (which is good).

Miley screams the lyrics, singing them beautifully, and sounds great. Deborah speaks the lyrics, effortlessly singing them, and sounds sexy. Remembering Blondie from the 1970s. Nobody tops the original.

Miley does do a fine job anyway you can tell she is paying a tribute introducing many younger fans to Blondie's .music. She gives a rocking performance, opposed to the laid back cool, punk rock danceable feel of Blondie. You just can't beat that awesome groove. 1970s Blondie brings back a lot of good memories. Younger generation gets a glimpse of older generation's nostalgia in this song. Deborah preceded other worldclass singers/performers Madonna, Shakira, Miley, etc. She is the best of them, all. IMO.

Wow.They are two totally different type of singers. Both sound great in their own unique way. Of course, it's hard to bet an original, but miley brings her own style to it very well and i bet anyone that never heard of blondie or this song would think it was written by/for miley.

Miley sings with way more energy and aggression, which fits her, debbie is way more melow, which fits her style.... just sit back and enjoy both great artists 2:12 . Much respect to both.
