Most important is to master at least 2 to 4 different jab, from different angle, i always practice and throw 4 different style of jab and its change everything. Start throwing different jab from different hand position and different angles ;).

I thought I was being silly when I threw an up-jab while shadow sparring, genuinely surprised to see it's a real move with some uses haha

The rear uppercut was the hardest punch to land for me for the longest time. My first kickboxing match my coaches were screaming at me to throw it and I did, then totally missed like 4 times before I abandoned it. I’ve got a solid rear upper now but you’re right, managing distance is the only way to do it
