Показать описание
This IELTS Listening Practice video is a spelling test about street names in English. In the video I say and spell eight different street names in English, these words are useful for IELTS as it is quite common to hear people saying addresses and locations.

Use a pen and paper to write the numbers 1 to 8 and then write the names of the streets as you hear them. At the end of the video the correct answers will be displayed on the screen. Good Luck!

You always give easy spellings, I think most of the exam takers already know these spellings. Want to try something more hard

Hello, first of all thank you for your videos, you're awesome! Second, what is the difference in the pronunciation of V and B? I have noticed that most people pronounce it in the same way and this is very dangerous for the IELTS part :(

Thank you. Straight forward. Any ideas with a higher difficulty? I like Chickatawbut Street for example.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
I have questions regarding numbers 2 and 3. At number 2, my instinct is to write Queen's Road, but the spelling does not say anything about any apostrophe. Since it is not mentioned in the spelling, I assume it would be wrong to use it. Is it right?
At question 3, again, the instinct was to write '5th Avenue'. If it wasn't spelled, would it be correct '5th Avenue'?
The IELTS exam seems very tricky...

Thanks for the Listening practice.
It appears to me that you mispronounced the fist letter of the street 4 while you were spelling it.
