Fav bases are without structures in the forest. I've been way more successful having tents with camo nets hidden in the forest without walls. I bury the good stuff nearby, that way if they find the tents, its just common items. I've held tent bases for many months without being discovered. No structure base I've built lasts as long as my forest bases. . Walls bring a strong desire to dismantle/destroy.

Solo wise I have found that a middle of nowhere "camp" I prefer spots that have nothing around it or a place that someone needs to either do a far run in a very intentional direction or the classic "I got lost and found it". I sacrifice convenience for staying out of the way.

The last one is what me and my friend and I did when we were heading to the airfield. we came across a castle tower and also found a large army tent, we set up the tent at the top of the tower and also a fire where we cooked chicken and camped for the night. the view and the sunset were beautiful.

There's this industrial building in a town just south of Tisy, North of NWAF and SE of a military base.

Found this building with one entrance, massive blue doors. You enter to a large empty space, already got one car and two hummers inside, 4 Car tents, two large tents, 7 medium tents and two garden plots on the first level and still have ALOT of room.

There's a small room in the back beside some stairs that lead up to a second level about ⅓ of the size of the first level. There's a caged room inside with a ladder that takes you up to a third level.

I use that third level as a sniping nest, build some metal half walls against the windows and you have a super clean peep hole. Freaking love it, best base spot ever.

I didn't mentioned how many barrels and other tents I got as well, like seriously. Novaya industrial is probably the best spot ever

Favorite base is somewhere not marked on the map. All these places will get found eventually because they are marked on the map

I built at Krona castle multiple times. The first two times I only had two gates between the entrance and my stuff, which only lasted a couple of weeks as you would imagine. The third time I set up four gates and the place lasted for a whole month, but sadly, the server and my character were wiped with a new update. Didn’t try to build there again, but I recommend it to people if they have the means to build.

I have my first ever base build right now on Xbox official. Been going strong for a week in the big wooden shed. I built a wall near the entrance with a platform so I can shoot out the top.

I've done a base every possible place and the best is still just some buried crates in the woods or a small camo tent out in the middle of no where woods. Those will eventually be found as well if you play on a full server but still way less than any base in a building.

I usually get planks and nails and make crates, then bury them. Make a free standing 4 wall with a gate in the woods to store my car. My buddies and I also have a mega base together. But we keep our good loot separate underground.

I know I'm late for the party, but 30 hours into the game i just decided to make a base in a random forest away from towns. Haven't been raided yet!

I've been wondering about caves/tunnels as bases...might be too easy to be trapped, and no visibility out, but also, no risk to being sniped through a window...

Best solo base is a twig lean-to under a willow tree, people will literally walk past and not even see it, plus lighting a fire is possible even in heavy rain and the smoke never exits the top of the tree 👍 fish all day

All of my bases have been in the woods with tents hidden in the trees I go for the strategy of not being found in the first place, putting it inside and already generated structure, makes it a greater risk of being found

I like to build improvised shelters in dense patches of vegetation, while hiding all the good stuff in crates and whatnot in the surrounding area. And i keep just enough goodies in the shelter to satisfy any greedy passerby that finds it while keeping the good stuff well hidden. This also means that if someone finds one of my crates or barrels they only discover a small bit of my loot and not the whole horde
