OBS Studio: No Desktop Audio Fix - No Game Sound & Music

This video shows you how to fix the no desktop audio error in OBS Studio. There are a few reasons why your desktop sound won't be heard in OBS. One of the simple solutions is to ensure the correct output device is selected. If the wrong device is selected, then OBS won't be able to stream the desktop audio. Alternatively, you can set your desktop audio to default. This will ensure your audio is being captured from the default listening device selected in your settings. You can select the correct device through the OBS audio settings.

Another issue that can be causing no desktop audio to be heard is the volume being turned down. Audio volume can be controlled through the audio mixer in OBS via the sliders. Each audio device can be controlled on individually.

Although rare, it's possible that the OBS audio is turned down in the Windows sound mixer. By increasing the volume, you should be able to hear sound in OBS Studio.

My problem is that when i finish recording the .MKV has only desktop audio while after i remux it to mp4 its only the microphone audio with no desktop audio

i had a 3 day problem with this and either i changed it or it changed itself but 0:44 in the advanced options it was set to Monitor only (mute output) but it needs to be Monitor off

I am having issues with my Video capture card not producing audio in my headphones but it is producing sound for the stream I have up, but I want to be able to hear my game running through the capture device and I've had issues where I just had to unplugg and re plug in my capture card but nothing seems to work this time, now sure what setting I might have clicked but I was trying to set up a new mic and head set and then this started so I can't figure out if it's a technical issue as a result of trying to set up new hardware Im not using my new hardware I am using the same headset while streaming through OBS I Hope I figure it out.
