Slovakia, Poland to donate MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine • FRANCE 24 English

Slovakia will donate 13 MiG-29 warplanes to Ukraine, the Slovak prime minister said Friday, making it the second NATO member to announce such a shipment following a similar move by Poland. FRANCE 24's Chief Foreign Editor Rob Parsons tells us more.

A rather strange discussion, if I am honest. It's not "either/or" regarding air defence or additional figther jets. Both are needed. Ukraine already has MIG-29s and these additional ones will be useful, even if they were only used for spares or training. Secondly, a number of the Polish MIG-29s have been upgraded with a data bus to be able to take more modern weapons platforms and this is the real story which isn't even mentioned. Lastly, the background video of a range of western fighter jets which are not MIG-29s is only going to confuse the viewer.

America and Europe were always eager to fuel the war and they always lectured other nations about peace democracy and human rights. Selling brutal weapons and creating bloody complex wars killing people for nothing, western entries are doing this for decades, and western media is always with them, and spreading misinformation helps to war more fragile and brutal.😮

Two things to note about the four (+ eight later) used MIG-29s Poland is "sending" to Ukraine : 1. Ukraine doesn't have any experienced fighter pilots left anymore, so these fighter jets will be flown either by polish pilots or by inexperienced ukrainian pilots. 2. The MIG-29s will most probably be destroyed on their very first mission by S400 russian air defense systems.

Poland and Slovakia will get rid of some old tech, lowering their maintenance costs. It is a lovely gesture and at the same time it means they will have to buy some new tech from USA. I feel our victory over the pure evil is getting closer.
