How to replace a T shovel handle

Ever broken a shovel handle? Here is one way you can fix it up! We used dried wildwood ash to carve out a rustic handle, rivet it securely in place and plant a tree.

We have propagated various fruit and nut trees to sell this winter. We have searched far and wide to provide the very best cultivars for the homestead or front yard!

I haven't made a T handle like that, but I've made a D handle by sawing, steaming and bending. That has been on my videos to make list for a long time. There is also the old style of carved D handle that has to start with a wide piece of wood.

I always love watching your videos. I am disabled and sort of live vicariously though your actions.

Дренажная лопата. Самый лучший инструмент для посадки кустов и деревьев. Долго к такой присматривался. Купил прошлой осенью и не пожалел!
Видео ремонта просто замечательное!

Excellent quality, I really love the quietness of your videos.
What is the reason for planting the tree so deep? I thought they like about level with the original grade? Thank you, Jim

Just a work of art.
This too is my form of meditation in my shed.
I have my grand father’s fork to re-hang this coming winter. Can’t wait the light the Woodstove in there and get into it

That's some tough dirt. Glad you made the shovel sharp, or I THINK you did!

Ahhh... a delightful video as always. Just the way my Grandad taught me to work. Slow and steady and not a power tool in sight. Sometimes the world moves too fast for us to stop and take a moment to savour the skills of yester year. Many thanks 😃😃

Went out to Century Farm Orchards near Reidsville, NC last weekend to get a couple old timey apple trees. They specialize in old varieties of apples from across the South. It was an experience.
