I appreciate the full disclosure. it made me feel less of an idiot for not being able to get it right after the first adjustment I made.

Thanks for the very thorough explanation and demonstration. I want to make a nice box for my Stanley No 45 plane and thought finger joints would be perfect. I saw this jig in the Phoenix Rockler store yesterday but was unsure of its quality & usability. Now it looks like I will be headed back to Rocker today! Thanks again.

I've had this jig for a while and never had any luck using it. I think I've just been not setting the box parts up right so they don't fit well. Time to try it again. Thanks for the great video.

I bought the Rockler box joint jig and set it up on my Bosch 1/2 router and table. The miter slot on my table is a little wider than the jig runners. Although they are expandable, I have to screw the star knobs to the max to make the jig hold. After setup I made all four sides of a small box I am making. When I was ready to fit the box, lo and behold nothing fit. After investigating the problem, I came to the conclusion that the jig MOVED. I did not catch it at the time. I guess I will have to make some thin wood strips to put in the dado groove and see if that will make the expandable hold down work without having to tighten the star knobs until they near strip the screw. Am I the only one with this problem? I like the jig. It seems to work very well and easy. I did cut some thin strips and put them between the runners but it was a little too much to get them in the right place. So I took painters tape and put a few layers of the tape on the sides of the table groove. It will now get tight before running out of threads on the star knobs.

I assume that a person can make larger boxes with a larger bit to correspond or do you just use this setup and route a lot more fingers? Looks like something I would like to have! Good review!🎉🎉🎉

Can you cut alternative spacing. ie: 1/4 pin and 3/4 tail.

It would be very helpful and essential that you show the cutting of EACH edge SLOWLY for all four sides not just the first two. I know you showed the other two sides being made but TOO FAST and no detailed explanation. THANK YOU!!! Jimmy

Have you made a video that completes making the box?

Hi, Nice video. Could you tell me the method you use for making the sliding lids? Thank you

Not a bad jig but for the price it should have a micro adjust screw. If I need to tap it left or right to adjust it I may as well just build my own.

Rocklers customer service is the worst. I will never support that shady company ever again.

drill a 1” hole in that melamine so you can use the height adjustable tool to raise and lower the bit without removing the whole jig

what he forgot to tell you was what you had to do using a saw stop table saw, , its more involved than what he says, , ,
