I would really discourage people to even watch this video, staying in the same company for years actually can even make you redundant in the external world, I think the speaker has not done any calculation, getting 10% hike in a year vs 40% hike in external company means a lot, the speaker I think doesn't know that every month the take home is increasing by 30% which is a lot of money, No one can ever have a satisfaction from every angle in any job at least in this competitive world and in that if you don't grow at a faster pace then more or less you are just redundant or you have ancestors money as a backup to releive you from bad times..

No, its not a stupid decision.
It is necessary, you put your blood and sweat and priceless time into developing a company's business, and you are worth your fair share.
If you discover your time, dedication, efforts and services are much better valued at some other workplace, you must ask yourself, why doesn't your current employer value what you are worth and you should value your employer just as much.
many factors to consider, but hey for any reason, don't stick to a company who doesn't fairly value your services.
you deserve every rupee you are worth and not a paisa less.

It's wonderful to listen him say 43 is considered old in India, the same thing Gary Vaynerchuk says.

His point of view is in business . Business owner always try to give low salary and try to get as much as work done from employes. A company will fail with out senior employes . Always a new guy is a risk to a organization .In this world, If you are under paid, You should change organization .If you are poor, Nobody gives a fuck about you .All are busy with their own stuff .

As companies work for their profits, you must work for your profit.... common sense....you want 4% hike each year staying in the same company or 30% hike by changing company for salary and quality Salary hike is not directly proportional to good work in corporate world.... it is all political

Easy to say when you get a 15 LPA salary as a fresher out of college. People are struggling for 15k a month. Switch when you feel like do what you do. Earlier parents made Sharma ji ja beta hero and by these videos our generation will as well. Each to his own..Don't generalize dude.

No doubt IIM guys get damn good packages in placements but I have often seem them far from reality in the sense that they want their IIM halo to be apparent in their engagements without really proving their worth. Two qualities which they often lack is people management and ability to take people along towards a certain vision. They would spout rhetorics picked from management studies and delusionally thinks it motivates people. They create terrific ppts but don't create anything new as far I have seen them.

These talks are best until they remain talks only. When you have to look for your family, these talks stands nowhere.

The comment on switching jobs and expressing yourself is as far from corporate reality today as possible..the quality of jobs in the market vis-a-vis their nametags is aweful..may be most of the audience are freshers or have worked max 1 job or are overwhelmed with emotions before entering iims to believe this fantasy...a major percentage of IIM passouts do not get to have Careers which we generally read about in newspapers after placement season...sometimes motivational speeches seem like drugs ...induces hallucination..good escape from reality

There is a great quote by Shahrukh which suit on his overall lecture “Don’t become a philosopher before you become rich.”

I agree he is successful but there are lot of entrepreneurs who started really well but got fucked up because they forgot some basics.... all the best

Well the majority of the transformation is taking place due to the people from non IIT and non IIM students, when was the last time you heard that IIT/IIM brought change in the business and in the country they have lucrative jobs in Tech and investment banking.

Guys I feel maybe he tried to convey that don't jump from one toxic environment to another toxic job just for salary because that doesn't solve the problem and at the end you are still not happy.
