Multi-Lane Timeline

The Arrange page now includes a timeline-based layout with dedicated lanes for chords, melody, bass, and phrases. Each lane is synchronized with the main chord track, and clips are fully adjustable with independent control per lane or clip.

Standalone App

Scaler 3 can now run as a standalone app for Mac and Windows in addition to a plugin within any DAW, offering a complete and flexible songwriting tool with multitrack operation and plugin hosting.

I bought 3, but am continuing using 2 for the chord detection function alone which is great for learning voicings instead having plugin provide them for you. I can’t believe they took that functionality out of 3, that was my favorite part bc I just use this plug to learn more chords...

Scaler 3, Chord Pad (Cubase) and Drummer (Logic) are the pleasant surprises of recent times in my opinion, this kind of program helps a lot if you have no knowledge of music theory.

This version is rather unique as we can use external instruments (VSTs) on a stacked timeline. It takes literally a few seconds to produce compelling arrangements. It is a really smart approach to music creation. I like Plugin Guru's unify for this feature, but now we have Scaler 3 doing the same with an insanely powerful piano roll. A+ for design and upgrade policy. Added: That said, we need to be able to stretch the midi editor on wide screen monitors. Unless this is fixed, Scaler 3 will still need a DAW to be useful.

Lots of impressive thing, but I wonder why you didnt finally embrace colorization based on root notes. All is blue. It would be so handy to have red = C, orange = D etc... Instant UX improvement without even having to tweak the core of the plugin.
