3:23 Doubt Clearance : We have drawn EN ⊥ AB so that we can use the formula : Area of ∆ = ½ × Base × Height
Now EN is height of Both ∆ADE & ∆BDE .

4:59 Doubt Clearance: Similarly We have drawn DM ⊥ AC so that we can use the formula : Area of ∆ = ½ × Base × Height
Now DM is height of Both ∆ADE & ∆DEC.

For those who didn't understand why EN is the height in 🔺BDE -
as the height of a triangle is the perpendicular on the base of it but in some cases if the perpendicular cannot be made in the triangle so the perpendicular is made outside the triangle and it is called the height as this case in triangle BDE perpendicular can't be made inside the triangle so NE is made which is the height.

For those who are having doubt that "How EN camed in triangle ADE"
SOL:-Since EN is perpendicular to the side AB, therefore its the height of both triangles ADE and BDE.
(HOPEFULLY YOU HAVE UNDERSTAND)
