did you pronounce it "u-ler" ? I have always heard it as "oiler"

Yeah, I wonder what is the other method. Euler must have had a different (calculator-less) way to come up with his constant. If even a million doesn't get you to exactly that value, then it had to be some trillion. And imagine someone sitting for his entire life and raising a floating point number to a trillionth power! ;)
