Going to bed without eating dinner is not a good punishment. The better way would have been is to make him eat something healthier or fetch a cheap TV dinner, and then no dessert nor video games or tv for the night. Eating is a human requirement after all.

sending your child to bed without food is not discipline, its abusive just like homer strangling bart is abusive. no child should go to bed hungry because food is a right, not a privilege. discipline can be a tricky thing to manage as a parent but the wrong kind of discipline can really mess up a child.

He also got sent to bed without supper, but by Homer, in the 2008 episode "Double Double Boy in Trouble" all because he talked in a way he couldn't understand.
